Representation Blog Post

     The tv show that I will be talking about it Breaking Bad. This show represents failing marriages, drug abuse, and drug distribution. It is about a man named Walter White that is struggling with the realization that he has lung cancer. So he becomes a manufacturer of meth and it leads to many disturbing events.     

    The age group that this show targets is targeting teenagers and up due to the action. This is done by all of the action scenes and the violence which tends to attract a younger audience. It also targets older people due to the fact that Walter White struggles with money. This is an issue that many people tend to have. Though unlike most people, he turns to making millions off drugs.

    The camera angles and the shade of the show tends to show a depressing mood throughout the whole show. This comes into a great effect due to the fact that due to selling and making drugs, Walter's marriage begins to fail heavily. This is another problem that older people tend to have in their lives.

     Walter White represents an old set of people that struggle with money and tend to use different ways to deal with it. In the show it takes a more drastic turn, but it symbolizes the real life struggles of older couples with financial issues.

Sound Blog Post

 In my groups sound project, a man had begun to bake in the kitchen when the oven begins to overheat catching fire. This burns the man and he runs out the door as the fire department arrives. 

The way that we approached the idea in the sound project was by coming up with different scenarios that would be a good fit for the project. We had to come up with a scenario that would make it easy for the viewer to identify what was going on in the sound clip. We had come up with many different types of ideas, but the man getting burned in the kitchen was the decision that everyone in the group came to an agreement on.

The way we were able to make the project was by adding many different sounds together into one. One technique that was used was the use of foley sounds. We were using the sounds from other objects to make it seem like something else was making that sound. For example we would smack something on the ground to represent the sound of walking.

Blog Posting Activity

In the project Camera Shots Quiz, the instructions were to create a short story while using 15 different camera shot types. In the final product of the project, me and my partner created a story of a water bottle committing suicide in front of his friend. Some things that me and my partner could have done differently in the project would be fixing the establishing shot and make it better, along with other shots that could be improved.

 Hello, I'm Mariano and the purpose of this blog is for my Aice Media class. In this class we review and learn about all forms of media, which would help me with my plans in the future. What I want to do in the future has a big role to play in media. I want to become a very famous and successful artist/ animator. I plan to spread my work through various forms of media.
