In my groups sound project, a man had begun to bake in the kitchen when the oven begins to overheat catching fire. This burns the man and he runs out the door as the fire department arrives.
The way that we approached the idea in the sound project was by coming up with different scenarios that would be a good fit for the project. We had to come up with a scenario that would make it easy for the viewer to identify what was going on in the sound clip. We had come up with many different types of ideas, but the man getting burned in the kitchen was the decision that everyone in the group came to an agreement on.
The way we were able to make the project was by adding many different sounds together into one. One technique that was used was the use of foley sounds. We were using the sounds from other objects to make it seem like something else was making that sound. For example we would smack something on the ground to represent the sound of walking.
